Green home designs, eco homes, what is an Eco Friendly House? An Eco friendly house is one designed to have as little negative impact on the environment as possible. Of course while this sounds simple enough there are a huge range of different options available to you in order to create a green home built according to green and conservation standards. Furthermore different home owners lie at different places along the scale. For some it has to be built from the ground up, using renewable building techniques and environmentally-friendly materials. They need to be insulated to within an inch of their lives, have rooftops and are powered entirely from renewable energy in the form of solar power, air source heat pumps, wind turbines and the like. The international non-profit organization Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) was formed in 1969 and announces the title of "The World's Tallest Building" and sets the standards by which buildings are measured. It maintains a list of the 100 tallest completed buildings in the world. The organization currently ranks Burj Khalifa in Dubai as the tallest at 828 m (2,717 ft). The CTBUH only recognizes buildings that are complete, however, and some buildings listed within these list articles are not considered complete by the CTBUH. Prior to 1998, the tallest building status was determined by the height of the building to the top of its architectural elements including spires, but not including "temporary" structures (such as antennas or flagpoles), which could be added or chan...

They have composting toilets and collect rain water to bathe in, are triple-glazed and are designed to make the best use of the available natural light. For most people though, however interesting a concept this may be, it is a step further than is practical. Most people who care about the environment already own a home and rather than wanting to move completely into custom-designed home and possibly even self-built home, they want to do their best to turn their existing property into an energy efficient comfortable living spaces. Fortunately there are lots of things you can do right now and for very little money to significantly reduce the carbon footprint of your new or existing house without you having to give up on your home comforts. An awe-inspiring engineering feat, Dubai Palm Islands is definitely the largest artificial islands on earth. These Islands are three man made islands in the form of massive palm trees connected to the beaches of Dubai. The first island is the Palm Jumeirah, Jebel Ali Palm second and the third is the Palm Deira which is the biggest of them all. This artificial archipelago located off the coastline of United Arab Emirates in Persian Gulf. Dubai islands project was commissioned by Sheikh Mohammed in an effort to maximize beachfront property. Dubai's palm tree-shaped resort island on land built from the sea will contribute 120 km of beaches. Aside from the construction of the ambitious expansion, there is also the problem of constructing a mini city, which consists of 4,500 high-end residential homes, miles of roads, luxurious hotels and many amenities that will require basic human resources including electricity, safe drinking water and many more. This enormous project will position Dubai as one of the top tourist destinations in the world. I will tell you why these islands have appeared and that they must satisfy. Dubai is an emirate that open sea about 50 km (an estimate) and the sites required for building projects are on the beach. To view course and especially to "park" in front of the yacht's property or even assembly. Well when the beach was not available, and demand persists, the beach had invented. And it appeared artificial islands. Hence so sophisticated forms of the islands: they had to provide a larger opening to the ocean. This new concept quickly caught on. 'Only a' product 'high-end, the latest wrinkle in the most creative developers metropolis. A new source of land, location of the trick of the planet Earth! The job went, the two islands were settled immediately, with mixed development, spectacular, exorbitant, and finally in Dubai's specific style ... In parallel to the World archipelago started building and other projects are still on the drawing board Nakheel, developer. But crisis compels us to winter a little ... Where is the dream of similar islands: In Lebanon, wants to build a cedar shaped islands, the symbol of this country. Russia wants to try an island / an archipelago in Black in Sochi at the 2014 Olympics, at least that is speaking through the past years. Also in Japan there are several large airports built on artificial islands. The Palm Islands are artificial peninsulas constructed of sand dredged from the bottom of the Persian Gulf by the Belgian company Jan De Nul and the Dutch company Van Oord. The sand is sprayed by the dredging ships, which are guided by DGPS, onto the required area in a process known as rain-bowing because of the arcs in the air when the sand is sprayed. The outer edge of each Palm's encircling crescent is a large rock breakwater. The breakwater of the Palm Jumeirah has over seven million tons of rock. The Palm Islands are an artificial archipelago (islands) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Major commercial and residential infrastructures will be constructed by Nakheel Properties, a property developer in The UAE. The Belgian and Dutch dredging and marine contractors, Jan De Nul and Van Oord, some of the world's specialists in land reclamation, were hired to complete construction. The islands are the Palm Jumeirah, the Palm Jebel Ali and the Palm Deira. Each settlement will be in the shape of a palm tree, topped with a crescent. The settlements will have a large number of residential, leisure and entertainment centers. The Palm Islands are located off the coast of The UAE in the Persian Gulf and will add 520 kilometers of beaches to the city of Dubai. The first two islands will comprise of approximately 100 million cubic meters of rock and sand. The Palm Deira will be composed of approximately one billion cubic meters of rock and sand. All materials will be quarried in The UAE. Among the three islands, there will be over 100 luxury hotels, exclusive residential beach side villas and apartments, marinas, water theme parks, restaurants, shopping malls, sports facilities and health spas. The creation of the Palm Jumeirah began in June 2001. Shortly after, the Palm Jebel Ali was announced and reclamation work began. The Palm Deira is planned to have a surface area of 46.35 square kilometers and was announced for development in October 2004. GC Privé ~ A world of luxury www.gcprive.com

Subscribe for weekly wacky videos and learn interesting facts about the world with awesome top 10 lists and other amazing videos. 10- Red Cottage – This beautiful isolated house sits on an island aptly named Just Room Enough Island. Part of the Thousand Islands chain of islands in Canada, Just Room Enough was bought in 1950s by the Sizeland family who wanted a unique place to build a holiday home. They built their house with the walls just reaching to the edge of the island and gave the island its special name. The plan backfired on the family who were looking to find a quiet retreat, and instead had to deal with tourists and sightseers stopping by to take a look at their unusual home. 9- Hermitage of San Colombano – Located in Italy between Vivenza and Rovereto, the Hermitage of San Colombano sits high on a mountainside looking down upon the city below. 120 meters up the cliff, it was clearly built to give its inhabitants a reprise from the hustle and bustle of the world below. It was built almost 700 years ago in 1319 and is named after the Irish saint Colombano. To gain entry to the structure you need to pass through the Leno gorge and then climb up 102 steep steps up the gorge. Every Christmas there is a candlelight walk up to the hermitage to signify the pilgrims climbing up the steps to pay respect to the saint. 8- Casa Malaparte - Casa Malaparte also known as Villa Malaparte, is located on Punta Massullo on the eastern side of Capri, Italy. Construction started in 1937 by well-known architect Adalberto Libera. The house is a red masonry box shape with stairs leading up to a fabulous roof patio. The house can only be reached by crossing the island on foot and takes about an hour and a half to walk there from the summit. 7- Villa Mecklin —Located in the Finnish Archipelago, Villa Mecklin is as picturesque and secluded as you can get. Built in a small depression in the natural rock, the villa was built using all basic materials. On one side looking past the structure you see the water and looking past it from the other side you see the land, surrounded by trees, exposed rocks and plenty of vegetation. The highlight of the house is the terrace, which is large and faces out toward the water for the view of a lifetime. 6- Stockholm, Sweden – Several miles away from Stockholm, Sweden there’s an incredible house that sits on the highest point of a small island stretching out just 137 square meters. The house is isolated and beautiful and includes a living room, guest room, a kitchen and glass doors leading out to a large deck, plus a sauna. 5- Katskhi Pillar – 130 feet above the hills of central Georgia sits Katskhi Pillar. Georgia adopted Christianity as the state religion in the 4th century and the Katskhi Pillar became the site of a small church built in the 7th century. It’s sole resident for the past 20 years has been a Georgian monk. A fun fact about the pillar – women aren’t permitted to climb to the top. 4- Artist Studio Fogo Island, Canada – Fogo Islanders are simple, independent people who live to fish and enjoy the serenity of the beautiful landscape around them. Located on the island are six artist studios built by the Shorefast Foundation. The idea behind the studios design is to create a geometric structure that would contrast the natural setting around them. The studios stand on pillars near the sea and each are isolated and can actually be moved to any part of the island. 3- Thatched hut, PanamaLooking more like a scene out of Gilligan’s Island, this small island with a thatch roofed hut is the epitome of peace and quiet. The pole style thatched roof hut is common in Panama and can house an entire family. Building materials are tree trunks for the main pillars, bamboo poles as support and different types of leaves for the roof. A well-made hut can usually stand for as long as 30 years. 2- The House on the Sea– Living in this house is definitely like stepping into the land of Robinson Crusoe. Just off the coast of Cornwall, England, The House on the Sea is situated right on the beach and can only be reached by climbing across a 90 foot high suspension bridge. Surrounded by water and isolated from the town, the tiny island is far from basic. The interiors are a luxurious mix of sleek neutrals and modern design, with panoramic sea views offered at every turn. 1- Holy Trinity Monastery – Located in central Greece, the Holy Trinity Monastery is the oldest among the six functioning monasteries located there – having been built in 1476. It sits atop a 1300 foot rock and years ago access could only be gained by climbing a rope ladder with just a net below. Today the entrance is reached by climbing 140 steps cut into the rock. It once held historical treasures, such as precious manuscripts, however, they were stolen during World War II.

Panama city tours 2016, Panama city tourism & Vacations 2016, Panama city trip 2016 Travel Videos HD, World Travel Guide http://www.youtube.com/subscription_c... Panama City is a very multicultural place, with large populations from many different parts of the world. Spanish is spoken by most, and many speak some form of English. Customer service is slowly improving, and surprisingly dismal in hotels. However, on the streets Panamanians are for the most part extremely friendly and helpful and would love to give you some advice. There's great shopping, from high-end stores in the malls around Paitilla and in the banking district around Via Espana, to veritable bargains around La Central (Central Avenue, now turned into a pedestrian walkway) and the Los Pueblos outdoor mall. You can find many ethnic stores (mostly Chinese and Indian), in certain parts of the City. See in Panama city =============== Panama Canal, An absolute must if you're in Panama City. The easiest and cheapest way is to go to the Miraflores locks, watch the huge boats go by and visit its very modern and informative visitor's center with a museum, a movie theater and a fancy restaurant (USD25 for the lunch buffet). A one way cab to Miraflores locks should cost around 6 USD. By metrobus from Albrock, every hour, for $0.25, from 6:00am to 5:00pm. Last bus leaves Miraflores at 5:00pm.You can also take a luxury train along the canal to Colón, or obviously take a boat! Prices Miraflores locks and museum: adults $15, students $10. Casco Viejo is the historic part of town, where you will find many colonial style government buildings, cathedrals and museums including a Canal Museum. It is currently under massive renovation, with crumbling shacks next to beautifully restored colonial buildings. There are a number of accommodation options in Casco ranging from hostel pricing up to very expensive colonial suites. The area hosts a large number of eclectic events ranging from operas and musicals at the national theatre to block parties and fashion catwalks in the open plazas. Casco Viejo also offers some of the finest dining options in Panama City. Panama Viejo The site of the ruins of the original city of Panama that was sacked by the pirate Henry Morgan in the 1600s. The city was later moved to Casco Viejo. Today Panama Viejo is home to one of Panama's national parks with the buildings left in unrestored states. It is well worth the visit but read the safety warnings and ask park employees about where it is safe to visit as the park is surrounded outside by one of the city's dangerous areas. Amador Causeway. The Amador Causeway connects the three islands to the mainland. From the causeway, there is a lovely view of Panama City, and the Puente de las Americas. Many Panamanians like to spend their weekends jogging, riding a bicycle or roller-blading down the causeway, or having a meal or drinks in one of the many restaurants and bars on the islands. Bikes are available to rent in many different varieties including recumbents and multi-person bicycles, starting at about $3.50 per hour. From the causeway you can also arrange day trips by ferry to one of the surrounding islands with boats leaving early in the morning. Mi Pueblitos. The pretty deserted museum (entrance free) on the slopes of Cerro Ancon showcases the different ethnicities of Panama. There are several artisans producing curios. The outdoor museum is close in proximity to El Chorrillo so be very careful about straying outside of boundaries or into unsupervised areas. Upon last visit it was not recommended to climb Cerro Ancon. Biomuseo (Biodiversity Museum: Panama Bridge of Life), Building 136, Amador Causeway Apartado 0843-02931, Panama, 830 - 6700, The Biodiversity Museum: Panama Bridge of Life (also known as Biomuseo) is located on the Amador Causeway in Panama City, Panama. It was designed by renowned architect Frank Gehry. This is Gehry's first design for Latin America. Do in Panama city ============= Aerial View of the Canal, Skydive, etc., The Canal itself is best seen via an aerial view through the local operator and is the central marvel and spectacle of Panama city. Even stunt and trick flights with veteran air force pilots and skydives are available over the marvel of engineering, to appreciate the entire scale of and ambition behind it.

Prior to 1998, the tallest building status was determined by the height of the building to the top of its architectural elements including spires, but not including "temporary" structures (such as antennas or flagpoles), which could be added or changed relatively easily without requiring major changes to the building's design. Other criteria for height measurement were not used. The term twin towers in architecture refers to two tall structures with nearly identical characteristics and similar height. The charts below lists most twin and other multi-column structures with similar characteristics. The following list includes only twin buildings that are continuously habitable. 1. Petronas Twin Towers (452 Meters) | KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA. 2. JW Marriott Marquis Dubai (355 Meters) | DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES. 3. Emirates Towers (354 Meters) | DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES. 4. Suzhou RunHua Global Center (286 Meters) | SUZHOU, CHINA. 5. Vitri Tower (281 Meters) | PANAMA CITY, PANAMA. 6. The Cullinan (270 Meters) | HONG KONG, HONG KONG. 7. Al Kazim Towers (265 Meters) | DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES. 8. Grand Gateway Shanghai (262 Meters) | SHANGHAI, CHINA. 9. Bahrain Financial Harbour (260 Meters) | MANAMA, BAHRAIN. 10. The Imperial (256 Meters) | MUMBAI, INDIA. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Information source & images credits for this video: http://pastebin.com/sQYfx8n2
